Microsoft Teams app installation

This guide walks you through installing the Boxphish app in your Microsoft Teams tenant and making it available to all users via the global setup policy.

Grant Admin Consent

Granting admin consent allows the Teams app to send notifications and access basic organisation information.

1. Login to the Portal.
2. Navigate to: Settings -> Teams Integration.
3. Locate the Admin Consent panel.

   

4. Review the permissions being requested.
5. Click Grant Admin Consent.
6. Sign in with a Microsoft 365 Administrator account when prompted.
7. Accept the permissions request to complete the consent process.

Download the App Package

1. In the Download Teams App panel, click Download App Package.

   

2. Save the downloaded file to your computer.

Upload the Boxphish App

1. Open the Microsoft Teams Admin Center:
   https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps
2. Click Actions and then select Upload new app.

1. Click Upload and select the Boxphish app package file.

1. Once uploaded, use the search bar to locate Boxphish in the apps list.

1. Select the Boxphish app.
2. Click Install for everyone.

1. Click Install to confirm.

1. Wait for the installation to complete, verify the success message, then click Done.

Add Boxphish to the Teams Navigation Bar

1. In the Teams Admin Center, navigate to: Teams apps -> Setup policies.

1. Select the Global (Org-wide default) policy and click Edit. Note: You can create a custom policy instead if required, but this guide covers the Global policy.

1. Under Pinned apps, click Add apps.

1. Search for Boxphish and select it.

1. Click Save to apply the policy.

Complete!

The Boxphish app is now installed and pinned across your organisation.

Turning notifications from Emails or Teams On/Off

1. Navigate to Settings.
2. Scroll down to Course Notifications.
3. Turn notifications from Emails or Teams On/Off.
